Rotating RHEED Data

AtomCloud is built to handle rotating RHEED data, simplifying in-situ characterization for commercial-scale MBE

AtomCloud deconvolves intensity and angular oscillation in rotating RHEED data to extract significant structural information.

t = 5s

t = 10s

t = 15s

Multi-component processing allows AtomCloud to generate all the same insights from stationary and rotating RHEED data

Time-averaging over the rotational period allows clustering while still using metrics from the original data.

  • Input to feature and metric extraction.

  • Choose high-symmetry representative snapshots within a cluster for pattern statistics.

  • Filter over the longest period detected, corresponding to the lowest-symmetry structure in the data.

  • Input to clustering - smooths over changes due to rotation only.
